3500USD on WX0B web site. Their claim of “Unmatched 66W / kg – world’s lightest amplifier ” is not true. Expert 2K-FA is 2000W output and 23rg. Expert also includes 6 antenna ports, automatic antenna tuner and SO2R capability.
If 3500 USD price tag is true then I would rather prefer EXPERT 1K-FA wich has 4 antenna ports, integrated automatic antenna tuner and costs about the same. Another alternative is Elecraft KPA-500 for 2000 USD. Hopefully ACOM will reconsider the decleared on WX0B site price.

    1) How does the noise level of this new solid state amplifier compare with the ACOM 1000. I am intereested in teh difference between transmit noise levels and off noise levels.

    2) Is it auto tune like the 2000A?

    3) What range of SWR can it handle at 160M, 20M and 6M?

    4) Does it use solid state switching, vacuum relays or standard relays for switching the antenna and power.

    5) I take it that this amplifier is instant on.

6)Does the amplifier require an ALC connection or is this even desirable?

Good luck with the new product it sounds interesting. I presently have Acom 1000 and 2000A models but dislike the warmup time required for the valves otherwise both amplifiers are hard to beat. 73 Doug EI2CN
