Congratulations to Nick UX0FF (ex. RB5FF, UB5FDF) This is an incredible achievement – ALL ZONES on 2m Bands (!) He is the only one who has reached this.

The CQ Worked All Zones (WAZ) Award and its variations are issued to any licensed amateur station presenting proof of contact with the appropriate number of CQ zones of the world. It is sponsored by CQ magazine.

Published in today’s Daily DX Bulletin:

Congratulations to UX0FF, Nikolay Lavreka, who is the first to
qualify for 11 band Worked All Zones. The plaque is date September
15, 2012 and states “First in the world to qualify for WAZ on 11
bands. 160-6 meters plus 2 meters Earth-Moon-Earth (EME)”. You can
see the plaque at http://www.uarl.com.ua/1ph2/ux0ff-doska.jpg.
This does not mean he has worked all zones on each of the bands,
but rather has qualified. On 160 meters to qualify you must have at
least 30 zones (he has 31) and on 6 meters (he has 26) and EME
(Could not find his score for this one on the CQ site) at least 25 zones.
For all the other bands you need them all. Regardless of not have all
440 Zones this is still an amazing accomplishment! Looking at his
QRZ.com page he is only 10 countries short on 2 meters of 11 band DXCC.
Congrats Nikolay.
