121.5 MHz Emergency Transmitter Direction Finder Complete Kit

The new ACR Vecta3™ LCD Direction Finder is a 121.5 MHz Emergency Transmitter Direction Finder utilizing the same “homing” frequency used by Coast Guard Search-and-Rescue boats and aircraft. This self contained hand-held direction finder has an integral directional antenna and signal meter, sensitive to a range of up to 8 miles allowing those onboard a vessel to initiate an immediate radio search in the event of a crew-overboard situation where the victim has activated a personal emergency transmitter.

Having a -117 dbm sensitive receiver, the Vecta3™ provides unprecedented sensitivity. This enables the system to detect weak signals at a maximum range.

Incorporating a 1.5″ LCD screen for viewing and operating the system, the LCD user-interface is colorful and easy to operate. The operating system utilizes a menu to navigate throughout the various modes, making setup more intuitive. In addition, the Vecta3™ LCD is a transflective display, which enables daylight viewing. During night use, the LCD screen provides backlighting for easy viewing.

The Vecta3™ has four training frequencies, so no matter where one is in the world, one may choose a training channel that is approved for use in that area.

The ACR Vecta3™ LCD Direction Finder should be an integral part of any vessel’s emergency equipment engaged in offshore racing or cruising, commercial fishing, dive boats or for anyone who is concerned about a potential crew-overboard situation.
