Receive Converter from V/UHF to the 10m Band, ideal for SDR (Software Defined Receivers) and all other receivers.

With the down converters DCM-2 and DCM-70 you can extend the frequency range of your receiver, whether SDR or conventional. Use all the benefits of your NetSDR, SDR-IQ or Perseus receiver not only on shortwave, but also on VHF and UHF. The DCM-2 converts the 2m band to 10m, the DCM-70 the 70cm band.

These newly developed down converters use a double balanced wideband mixer with an Intercept point (IP3) of typically > 20dBm at the input. The input stage uses a modern E-PHEMT IC with an internal feedback loop. The result is a very low noise figure of typically 1.5dB and a high linearity. A three stage Helix filter at the input is used for good pre-selection and image rejection.

Especially for these down converter, a new mixer was developed. The crystal controller oscillator uses two selected FETs and Schottky diodes. As a result a clean output signal is achieved, free of harmonics as far as possible, and with a very low phase noise.

The converters DCM-2 and DCM-70 use a metal case with good RF shielding. The antenna input is an N female socket, the IF output is a BNC female socket. The required supply voltage is 12 to 14 V DC, protected against reverse polarity. DC connector reference 42913 requis.

The SSB Electronic DCM-2 Converter is a superior receive down converter for 2 meters. Used in combination with the Perseus receiver, the DCM-2 provides exceptional sensitivity, large signal performance and high dynamic range to satisfy even the demanding users. Other receivers may also be operated in combination with the DCM-2. Input is 144-148 MHz and output is 28-32 MHz. The heart of the DCM-2 is an active, double-balanced broadband mixer with a typical Intercept-Point (IP3) of > 20 dBm at the input. The pre-stage of the converter uses a modern internally negatively fed back E-PHEMT IC, which exhibits a very low noise figure of 0.9 dB and first class linearity. The IP3 of this module is > 30 dBm. Preselection and spurious suppression is assured by a 3-stage Helix-Filter. A new mixing oscillator was expressly developed for the DCM-2. This crystal driven oscillator uses two selected FETs and several Schottky-Diodes for creating a spurious-free, low noise output signal.

The DCM-2 has a HF-tight, tinplate housing. Input is a female N jack. Output is to a female BNC-socket. The operating voltage is 9 – 14 VDC 300 ma [+] 2.5/5.5mm 0963. Reverse voltage protection is built-in.

The SSB Electronic DCM-70 Converter is a superior receive down converter for 430-440 MHz. Used in combination with the Perseus receiver, the DCM-70 provides exceptional sensitivity, large signal performance and high dynamic range to satisfy even the demanding users. Other receivers may also be operated in combination with the DCM-70. Input is 430-440 MHz and output is 26-36 MHz. The heart of the DCM-70 is an active, double-balanced broadband mixer with a typical Intercept-Point (IP3) of > 20 dBm at the input. The prestage of the converter uses a modern internally negatively fed back E-PHEMT IC, which provides a very low noise figure of 0.9 dB and first class linearity. The IP3 of this module is > 30 dBm. Preselection and spurious suppression is assured by a 3-stage Helix-Filter. A new mixing oscillator was expressly developed for the DCM series. This crystal driven oscillator uses two selected FETs and several Schottky-Diodes for creating a spurious-free, low noise output signal.

The DCM-70 has a HF-tight, tinplate housing. Input is a female N jack. Output is to a female BNC-socket. The operating voltage is 9 – 14 VDC 300 ma [+] 2.5/5.5mm 0963. Reverse voltage protection is built-in.

The SSB Electronic DCM-137 Converter is a superior receive down converter for 136-138 MHz. Used in combination with the Perseus receiver, the DCM-137 provides exceptional sensitivity, large signal performance and high dynamic range to satisfy even the demanding users. Other receivers may also be operated in combination with the DCM-137. Input is 136-138 MHz and output is 28-30 MHz. The heart of the DCM-137 is an active, double-balanced broadband mixer with a typical Intercept-Point (IP3) of > 20 dBm at the input. The pre-stage of the converter uses a modern internally negatively fed back E-PHEMT IC, which exhibits a very low noise figure of 0.9 dB and first class linearity. The IP3 of this module is > 25 dBm. Preselection and spurious suppression is assured by a 3-stage Helix-Filter. A new mixing oscillator was expressly developed for the DCM-2. This crystal driven oscillator uses two selected FETs and several Schottky-Diodes for creating a spurious-free, low noise output signal.

The DCM-137 has a HF-tight, tinplate housing. Input is a female N jack. Output is to a female BNC-socket. The operating voltage is 9 – 14 VDC 300 ma [+] 2.5/5.5mm 0963. Reverse voltage protection is built-in.
