The Alpha 2100 is the perfect station accessory and provides you with unparalleled convenience. You can tune up into this dummy at FULL legal limit output power, right at the frequency you need and then switch to bypass (antenna) mode and be ready to answer the DX station and get through the pile up on your first call. Most legal limit dummy loads are good for 5 – 10 SEC – ONDS at 1500 watts – the Alpha 2100 will happily tolerate 6 kW for 5 – 10 MINUTES and 1.5 kW all day. In addition, the unit includes an RF sample output that you can connect to an oscilloscope or a spectrum analyzer. All together, your station will not be complete with – out an Alpha 2100.
As one of the owners of Alpha, I thought I’d spend a few minutes and write about our most under promoted product – the Alpha 2100. As in most things Alpha, before we acquired the company, I couldn’t imagine why their products were so expensive. I’ve had expensive toys before, but some of the products in the Alpha line seemed, well, just too expensive.
