The Alpha 2100 is the perfect station accessory and provides you with unparalleled convenience. You can tune up into this dummy at FULL legal limit output power, right at the frequency you need and then switch to bypass (antenna) mode and be ready to answer the DX station and get through the pile up on your first call. Most legal limit dummy loads are good for 5 – 10 SEC – ONDS at 1500 watts – the Alpha 2100 will happily tolerate 6 kW for 5 – 10 MINUTES and 1.5 kW all day. In addition, the unit includes an RF sample output that you can connect to an oscilloscope or a spectrum analyzer. All together, your station will not be complete with – out an Alpha 2100.
As one of the owners of Alpha, I thought I’d spend a few minutes and write about our most under promoted product – the Alpha 2100. As in most things Alpha, before we acquired the company, I couldn’t imagine why their products were so expensive. I’ve had expensive toys before, but some of the products in the Alpha line seemed, well, just too expensive. I had drooled over their Amplifiers for years, but just didn’t feel the same way about their other products. As I became more involved with the company, I found their design philosophy to be one that virtually guaranteed robustness and ease of use, and it permeated every facet of the company’s product line. It’s a philosophy I’ve grown to appreciate.

You know what goes nicely with a full legal limit amplifier? A dummy load capable of dissipating four times the legal limit (6 kW) for 2 to 3 minutes and legal limit (1500 watts) till the cows come home. We think this is a dummy you’ll want to get to know. With its forced-air dry heat sink cooling system, temperature controlled fans, multiple metering capabilities and full power bypass shunt this thing is pretty clever for a dummy.
Price: $1,196.00 plus $75 shipping in USA only.
An SK friend recently willed to me his entire station which includes an Alpha 99 and Alpha 2100 dummy load. There There seems to be a firmware corruption in the load. When new did the load come with software for updating the firmware and would you still have a copy of such? I have the firmware found on the Alpha website.

Greetings from New Zealand
I would dearly love to have a Alpha 2100 Dummy Load in my radio room – I have had Alpha Amps since the ETO days.
I would be very grateful if you could give me any leads as to who/where may have one for sale .
