The USRP E110 series combines a flexible RF frontend, FPGA and an OMAP 3, which includes an ARM Cortex-A8 and a C64 DSP. This allows standalone operation for embedded applications, or applications that do not require the full processing power of a commodity CPU. The architecture includes a Xilinx® Spartan® 3A-DSP 3400 FPGA, 64 MS/s dual ADC, 128 MS/s dual DAC and a suite of interfaces to support connectivity. I/O includes stereo input/output, HDMI out, USB Host, USB OTG, Ethernet and a Serial Console. The USRP E110 ships with Linux, drivers, and other software pre-installed for easy development. A modular design allows the USRP E110 to operate from DC to 6 GHz. The USRP E110 can be synchronized with an internal GPDSO module, or external references. The embedded ARM processor is interfaced to the FPGA with a direct memory interface, allowing high information bandwidth throughout the system. This interface supports the USRP Hardware Driver (UHD), which allows seamless portability of applications designed on host machines. The USRP E110 is capable of processing up to 8 MS/s in the ARM processor.
