MFJ-998RT is a similar to the MFJ-994BRT. The tuner MFJ-998RT is an automatic tuner suitable for outdoor use, but with a max. transmit power handling of 1500W! The weatherproof case is made of an ABS cover and a stainless steel box.
In contrast to the MFJ-994BRT the MFJ-998RT can match impedance’s from 12 to 1600 ?. The minimum required transmit power for tuning is 5 W, but 10 to 20W are recommended for best results. Max. transmit power after tuning is 1500W PEP, 1500 W CW.
The power supply of the MFJ-998RT is done over the coaxial cable. For this purpose a Bias-T MFJ-4117 is included in the shipment.
