Description
The Model 717 Microphone Equalizer / Audio Interface provides a convenient means of shaping your transmit audio as well as interfacing your radio to line level signals and external PTT switch, such as a footswitch. This device was designed so that older TEN-TEC transceivers and many other older transceivers could be used or modified to be used with the newer style Dynamic microphones on the market today.

High and low frequency cut / boost controls plus a mic level control on the front panel provide the means for improved audio quality and level. A front panel 8 pin microphone connector allows direct interfacing with microphones adhering to the TEN-TEC and Yaesu pinout standards.

Note: A 4 Pin XLR connector with cable and proper connector for the radio requested will be shipped with the order. Any custom modifications to this cable or connectors for use with other equipment is the responsibility of the buyer.

On the rear panel, two 1/8” phone connectors allow connecting an external PTT switch and line level audio input. The line level input level is adjustable via a rear panel gain control. Interfacing to the radio is accomplished via a 4 pin XLR male connector also on the rear panel. On the rear panel is a DC power connector which requires 12 – 15 VDC (positive on center pin). A regulated wall transformer is provided to power this unit. TEN-TEC does not provide a connector for RJ-45 microphone inputs or ?” stereo style microphone connectors.
