HAL600 Atlantic is a solid-state linear amplifier for HF Ham Bands, which uses the robust MOSFET products from ST Microelectronis It is completely automatic; new conception of a band decoder, together with the microprocessor control, reading the incoming RF signal, determines the band and performs the change of band in less than 25mS, managing this change with zero power on the contacts of relays. In this case it is only necessary to connect the signal TX GND from the transceiver. (and therefore also for RTX dated). But by connecting DATA I / O with modern transceiver of the major brands, the change of band is already being during receive mode, thus enabling QSK operation. A powerful microprocessor HITACHI / Renasas 16bit, manages the operation and protections.
The amplifier has no output ALC, because by managing to MPU and the reading of the input power, are automatically inserted in the input attenuators to maintain operation in the linear zone from 10 to 75 Watts. On the DATA connector I / O is already a multipoint RS485 serial interface for future expansion (eg remote switchs antenna, remote tuner, …) or for remote amplifier with PC management, with cable, up to 1,000 meters. (Belden 9841). (When the SW on the PC and the FW will be available). There is also a serial port for updates of the Firmware. (if needed, or for future expansion). HAL600 Atlantic is definitely the amplifier more compact, rugged, lightweight and innovative in its category.
