FX-4a. This unit replaces the original FX-4 that we introduced in 2013. The original FX-4 was an exceptionally strong transceiver and we received a tremendous amount of great feedback; especially from users who used SSB. It truly is a fun little radio that is perfect for SOTA or any of your portable uses.
The FX-4a is not a kit and comes fully assembled. It also includes a speaker mic and power cord. The sturdy, lightweight form factor is very attractive and features mylar covered buttons to keep dirt and dust out. The power selector has moved to the side to keep from accidental power ons/offs. The VFO knob is large enough for easy manipulation, even while using gloves on cold field days.

The FX-4a does require some CW filtering. We are sourcing the Hi-Per-Mite from 4 States QRP Club (http://www.4sqrp.com/HiPerMite.php) and it is included in the purchase price. The external audio filtering is a kit and we include an option to have it pre-assembled if you like. The pre-assembled filter does not include the filter enclosure; just the populated pcb. Select that option if you choose before you order in the OPTIONS area.
