Equipment was set up and the station checked out fully operational on August 1st, with its first QSO of the DXpedition logged at 5PM on Easter Island for CE0Y/I2DMI. Operator Francesco will be operating 40,20,17,15,12 and 10 meters. You may find the station on 80 meters as well, provided enough room is available to accommodate an 80 meter dipole.

1983 German DXpedition to Spratly Islands.
DJ3NG along with his friends was on his way to Spratly DX Pedition. A night before arriving at Spratly, his boat was attacked and sunken by Vietnamese gunships. DJ6SI fortunately survived and issued this QSL to mourn DJ3NG, DJ4EI, and others killed by this incident.
