D. Spaulding (a world authority on HF radio noise predictions).<\/p>\n<p>VOACAP (Voice of America Coverage Analysis Program) &#8211; free professional HF propagation prediction software from <acronym title=\"National Telecommunications and Information Administration\">NTIA<\/acronym>\/<acronym title=\"Institute for Telecommunication Sciences\">ITS<\/acronym>, originally developed for Voice of America (VOA).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/online.voacap.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VOACAP Online<\/a><\/strong><\/span> &#8211; an easy-to-use <strong>Google Maps based<\/strong>tool for making professional HF predictions\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"The National Geophysical Data Center (NOAA\/NGDC) maintains the (predicted) SSN (sunspot number) figures based on the Lincoln-McNish smoothing function. These are the sunspot numbers used in the database reduction for the worldwide ionospheric maps used in IONCAP and now VOACAP.
