Equipment was set up and the station checked out fully operational on August 1st, with its first QSO of the DXpedition logged at 5PM on Easter Island for CE0Y\/I2DMI. Operator Francesco will be operating 40,20,17,15,12 and 10 meters. You may find the station on 80 meters as well, provided enough room is available to accommodate an 80 meter dipole.<\/p>\n

Operation of CE0Y\/I2DMI is slated to continue through August 9th.<\/p>\n

Easter Island (alias Rapa Nui or Isla de Pascua) is a Polynesian island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. It\u2019s located at the southeasternmost point of the Polynesian triangle. It has been a special territory of the South American nation of Chile since 1888.<\/p>\n
