{"id":27790,"date":"2011-10-11T23:34:05","date_gmt":"2011-10-11T21:34:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.cqdx.ru\/ham\/?p=27790"},"modified":"2023-09-24T16:11:10","modified_gmt":"2023-09-24T16:11:10","slug":"world-radio-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cqdx.ru\/ham\/ham-radio-news\/world-radio-day\/","title":{"rendered":"World Radio Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-27791\" title=\"Screen Shot 2011-10-11 at 11.32.42 PM\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cqdx.ru\/ham\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Screen-Shot-2011-10-11-at-11.32.42-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"260\" \/><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a title=\"UNESCO\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #339966;\">UNESCO<\/span><\/a>\u2019<\/span>s Executive Board approved item 13 of its provisional agenda \u201cProclamation of a World Radio Day\u201d to be celebrated each February 13th.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Executive\u2019s decision is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recommends to the [UNESCO] General Conference that it proclaim a World Radio Day and that this Day be celebrated on 13 February, the day the United Nations established the concept of United Nations Radio;<\/li>\n<li>Invites all Member States, organizations of the United Nations system and other international and regional organizations, professional associations and broadcasting unions, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organizations and individuals, to duly celebrate the World Radio Day, in the way that each considers most adequate;<\/li>\n<li>Requests the Director-General, subject to the final resolution of the General Conference, to bring this resolution to the attention of the Secretary-General of the United Nations so that World Radio Day may be endorsed by the General Assembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a title=\"World Radio Day\" href=\"http:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/images\/0021\/002112\/211271e.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Read UNESCO\u2019s full World Radio Day proclamation here (PDF).<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UNESCO\u2019s Executive Board approved item 13 of its provisional agenda \u201cProclamation of a World Radio Day\u201d to be celebrated each February 13th.
