The New FTA-750 and FTA-550 models are designed with a new graphical icon based menu system with large (43.2 x 43.2mm) full dot matrix LCD. The Transmitter provides a full 5 watts power on the International Aircraft Communication Band ( \u201c COM\u201d band: 118.000 to 136.975 MHz) with either 25kHz or the new 8.33kHz channel spacing, ILS (Instrument Landing System) and VOR Navigation features on the \u201cNAV\u201d band ( 108.000 to 117.975MHz) with an advanced user interface ensuring intuitive operation and optimized performance.<\/p>\n

Both models include a variety of other useful features for the discerning aviator, 800mW of clear loud audio, Last Channel Recall ( Flip Flop), ILS Navigation ( Localizer), Back-lit keypad, Water protection (IPX% Rating), 200 memory channels and USB port for easy programming of user memory channel.<\/p>\n

In addition, the New FTA-750L \u201cSpirit\u201d provides 329.15-335.00MHz receiver for showing Glide Slope in ILS navigation and the built in GPS unit provides positioning and waypoint Navigation with a graphical screen presentation including a compass that helps you to determine the distance and bearing of your waypoint at a glance.<\/p>\n

The New FTA-550 is available in two package versions; the Li-ion Battery version (FTA-550L) c\/w charger and the AA Alkaline Battery version (FTA-550AA) with no charger.<\/p>\n
