The FTdx-5000 (Main Receiver only<\/em>) includes a rather traditional<\/span> 1st IF 9 MHz (Elecraft K3 1st IF 8,215 MHz) and provides for selectable roofing filters (6-pole crystal) at the first IF to limit the off-frequency signals getting into the receiver.
\nNote that the roofing filter\u2019s job is only to protect the rest of the receiver, and that the operating bandwidth filtering is performed by the IF DSP (like Elecraft K3 Transceiver).<\/p>\n
