One of the main objectives of the RF project was to significantly exceed the spurious signal suppression requirements illustrated in the international approval standard (ETSI 301 783 pti 5.2&5.3) for amateur radio equipment. To this end, OL-Power has a modular filtering section designed with extreme care and oversized in order to guarantee the best performance even at levels well above full power.
It is in the most demanding situations such as CONTESTS and DIGITAL modes where the quality of the design of an RF Amplifier can be assessed! It is to meet these requirements that OL-Power’s thermal design is very conservative. Equipped with a sophisticated temperature control system, assisted by multiple fans with progressive intervention, it can be equipped with a liquid heatsink with Peltier cells, so that the temperature of the LDMOS device always remains within safety limits. This guarantees long-lasting reliability, even in the most demanding jobs.
RELIABILITY AND DURABILITY
It is well known that while LDMOS power FETs are extremely robust at output, they are highly sensitive to RF overdrive. For this reason, we have implemented a sophisticated control system that we have called “OL-Bias Control”. Combined with careful input circuit design, OL-Power offers a sophisticated combination that minimizes the risk of overdrive damage.
Modern DIGITAL techniques and modern WEB-CLUSTERS require an operational speed that was once unimaginable. OL-Power offers the possibility of selecting the band in a fast and completely automated way. The presence of valid in-band signals is detected and will automatically trigger the switch to that band. A high-speed, ultra-low distortion solid-state switching circuit allows for very fast (>50wpm) full-power Kick-Down operation.
Furthermore, thanks to the possibility of using up to six selectable and tunable antenna connectors thanks to an ATU section available in THREE different versions, you will be able to totally forget about the range change which will take place completely automatically.

LDMOS – Pure Signal TechnologyOperating on the amateur radio bands from 1.8 MHz to 50 MHz, it uses a modern LDMOS device in order to obtain maximum efficiency with respect to the power absorbed. One of the objectives of our technicians was to guarantee high spectral purity, obtained with the use of mRX PURE – SIGNAL technology in the SDR version, a proprietary software capable of correcting the non-linearity of LDMOS devices by lowering the IMD and linearizing the output.

Heavy Duty circuitry: choose the power you want!
We know, power is never enough. And then you can decide, depending on the regulations of the country in which you operate, to install a more conservative 1.0 KW LDMOS or aim, in the case of less restrictive regulations, at 1.8 Kw.*
Every single card, every single component, each OL-Power connector has in fact been largely oversized and selected to allow you to “push” to the maximum.
*Note: it is the user’s responsibility to adapt the output power to the “Maximum Legal Power” required by the authorities in their country.
Modular filter section
You can choose to install up to 7 ranges.
Without a shadow of a doubt, the filter section is the heart, together with the power unit, of every self-respecting amplifier. OL-Power features a modular LPF filter section designed to suppress harmonics and guarantee excellent spectral purity.
Thanks to the modular design, everyone will be able to decide to install exclusively the band filters of their interest. The Kit is supplied with 2 band filters, you can optionally add another 5 optional filters.
You can easily insert the filter into the appropriate slot, without the need for other operations. The control unit will automatically recognize the filters installed, enabling the transmission band:
